The name
Waldtiefe is German for “the depth of the forest.” It is the quiet part of the woods, past the trailhead, where the noise drops away. We wanted a name that sounded like that feeling and a watch that carried it back into the week.
Who it is for
The man we build for works in finance, law or business, and spends his free time riding, hunting, fishing, overlanding or working land. He researches before he buys. He reads the specifications, watches the reviews and notices the finishing. He does not want a costume, a fashion piece or a borrowed heritage. He wants one watch that is right in both places.
How we build
- Composure. Calm, legible dials. A unidirectional bezel. More water resistance than you will need.
- Craft. Sapphire crystal, applied indices and proven Swiss or Japanese automatic movements.
- Range. Quick-release straps, so the same watch goes from saddle leather to rubber in seconds.
- Depth. A tree-ring dial texture, our nod to the oldest clock there is.
How we talk
Plainly, and with numbers. “Tested at 25 bar for two hours” tells you more than “incredibly water resistant.” We will not claim history we have not earned, and we will tell you what is still being decided.
Where we are
The first watch, the Reiter 200, is in design now. Prototypes come next, then a limited first run. Waitlist members hear about every step first and get first access when orders open.
