Why these choices
- 40 mm on a 47.5 mm lug-to-lug. Big enough to read at a glance, small enough to sit under a shirt cuff.
- Two movements. The Miyota 9039 is a proven Japanese automatic with no date. The Sellita SW200-1 is the standard Swiss workhorse.
- Quick-release straps. Saddle leather for the city, rubber for water and dust, changed without tools.
